Field manual
Nothing during
the fight.
Everything after.
A window to set up your Bastion line-up, and a full recording of every clan battle. The site does the rest.
- Version
- 1.0.31
- Size
- 97 KB
- Client
- WoT EU 2.3.1.0
Tick the box, click a tank — this is the real window, not a screenshot.
You already play.
Here's what it turns into.
The mod changes nothing about how you play. It turns every clan battle into something you can review, measure and work on.
What it does.
What it doesn't.
It's the question you ask before installing any mod. So it's answered here, before anything is asked of you.
What it does
- 01Shows a window on the clan battle screens
- 02Selects the tank you click on, right in the garage
- 03Reads the numbers after the fight is over
- 04Sends those numbers to the site for the clan's analysis
What it doesn't do
- ✕Nothing is displayed during the fight
- ✕No advantage: no enemy positions, no aiming assistance
- ✕No changes of any kind on Wargaming's servers
- ✕No access to your password or your login details
Could this get me banned?
No.
The mod only reads information the game already shows you, only once the fight is over, and it never talks to Wargaming's servers.
In all honesty: Wargaming publishes no official whitelist of mods. What can be guaranteed is that this mod does none of the things that are forbidden. That's exactly the list above.
Where the data goes
The end-of-battle numbers go to the shared Clan Plus storage and feed the clan's analysis. A copy stays on your machine in mods/configs/im.robert.clanui/. If an upload fails, the battle waits and goes out later. Nothing is lost.
The full detail of what is kept: privacy policy.
Three things,
and nothing else.
The mod doesn't replace your game. It does three things, then it keeps quiet.
Before the battle
Set up the line-up
Every tank you own in one list: nation, tier, name, type. One click selects the tank in the garage. Tick Clan Wars simulation mode and unavailable tanks switch to OUT, just like in real Advances.
During the battle
Record what happens
Positions second by second, shots, damage shot by shot, kills, and where each tank was aiming. Enough to replay the battle on the site and debrief it.
After the battle
Read the numbers
Damage, blocked, assisted, spotting, kills, survival, map, result. This is the raw material for the stats and the Synergy Rating.
Installing it
A World of Tanks mod is a file you drop into a folder. There is nothing to run. Two minutes.
The short way
Using Aslain's modpack?
Tick Clan Plus in the list while installing. Nothing else to do: no download, no folder to hunt for. If you've never installed a mod by hand, take this route. Don't also drop it in manually — you'd end up with two copies.
Otherwise, by hand
Get the file
clanplus_1.0.31.wotmod, 97 KB. It lands in your Downloads folder like any other file.
If the browser blocks it
Some browsers are wary of a file extension they don't recognise. Choose “Keep”. It isn't a program — it's an archive only World of Tanks knows how to read, and its contents are described above.
Open the game folder
In the Wargaming Game Center: click World of Tanks, then the cog, then “Show in Explorer”. Failing that, it's usually in C:\Games\World_of_Tanks_EU\.
The most common mistake
The folder is called mods, not res_mods. Both exist side by side and they do different jobs: a file dropped into res_mods will never be loaded.
Drop the file in
Inside mods, open the folder named after the game's version number, then drag the file into it. Nothing to unzip, nothing to rename.
The folder isn't there?
On a fresh install, mods can be empty. Create a folder named exactly after the version number the Game Center shows, for example 2.3.1.0, and drop the file inside.
Check it
Launch the game and go to a Stronghold, Advances or Skirmish screen. The window appears nowhere else, and that's deliberate. If you can't see it, press F2.
How to know it's working
You see the window shown at the top of this page, listing your tanks. Play a clan battle: a few seconds after it ends, it's recorded. Sign in at clanplus.eu with your World of Tanks account and it appears under “Battles”.
Every time World of Tanks updates
The game creates a new version folder inside mods and the mods in the old one stop loading. Copy the file into the new folder. That's all: your settings and your history live elsewhere and don't move.
The changelog
Updating the mod means replacing the file. Nothing to uninstall.
You can see where each tank is looking
The mod records where each tank is aiming: hull heading plus turret angle. On the replay, a tank holding an angle is finally distinguishable from one just driving through.
Uploads no longer get lost
When an upload fails, the battle is queued instead of lost, then sent again automatically. Added a settings panel reachable from the garage.
The real base flags
Bases are no longer circles but the game's own flags, including the neutral base in 7-vs-7 battles.
The replay becomes an analysis
Kills, damage shot by shot with who dealt it, and every shot recorded. The battle can be replayed and debriefed on the site.
When something goes wrong
The five cases that keep coming up.
The window doesn't appear
In order: press F2 — it may simply have been closed. Check you're actually on a Stronghold, Advances or Skirmish screen. Finally, make sure the file is in mods and not res_mods, and that the version folder matches the version of the game you're launching.
The game updated and the mod vanished
That's expected: each game version has its own folder inside mods. Copy the file into the new one. Your settings and your history are kept.
My battles don't show up on the site
Only clan battles are recorded — random battles never count. Also check you're signed in with the World of Tanks account you actually played on. If an upload failed, the battle will go out again next time you launch.
I have other mods — could they conflict?
The mod is self-contained and overwrites no game file. It uses ModsSettingsAPI and ModsList when they're there, but works without them. If it errors, it switches itself off quietly rather than crashing your game. If another mod already uses F2, the key can be changed in the settings.
How do I uninstall it?
Delete the .wotmod file from mods/<version>/. To wipe the settings and local history as well, delete the mods/configs/im.robert.clanui/ folder.
Two minutes.
One file, one folder. And every clan battle you play feeds the whole clan's analysis.
